        ︎ ABSTRACT
Modulor’s Bastard Children are already performing their space. And not in the same way in which their parents would – The Athens Charter’s rules or Modulor’s rational measures were late to disappear- but from its profanation: “giving free use space back to humans” in words of the philosopher Giorgio Agamben.

Modulor’s Bastard Children rise up against the “beautiful architectural object”, which was thought for that athletic white man. It acquires, this way, multiple aesthetics, which encompass immigrants, refugees or gays in a new architecture composed by intensities instead of parts.

Modulor’s Bastard Children understand future architecture from relationships concerning body and space. Relationships that go from the conflict or revolution to new political, social or emotional forms. It is opposed to the idiosyncrasy of black mirror, a new architecture based on erotism and friction between skins and bodies in space.

How can you navigate towards something when there are no fixed points when you cannot determine your position? How do you know where to go, or even know when you have got there? This fourth volume in the Archifutures series investigates how architecture, traditionally considered to be a future-oriented activity, can best respond as we find ourselves on the threshold of a “post-futurist” condition where the future is not necessarily ahead of us, but everywhere and – perhaps most especially – “now”
